South Towne Square located at 84th Street and Mingo Road evokes a simpler time in old New England when towns were built on the square and the Towne Crier declared each evening that "All is at Peace with the World."
The entry from Mingo Road opens to the Towne Hall, a two-story community clubhouse which resembles an old courthouse square. There is a fountain built in front of the clubhouse, a children's playground area that extends to the south, and lawn to the north which is host to any number of ball games. The aura of a bygone era is enhanced with flower gardens, stone benches and turn-of-the-century street lamps. It is a popular gathering place for neighbors and host to several neighborhood gatherings.
The neighborhood has 157 custom homes with extensive landscaping. Building covenants call for homes with 2,500 to 3,800 square feet of space ranging in price from $300,000 to $450,000.
South Towne Square's 157 homes are served by the Union school district, one of the highest rated school districts in Oklahoma. Elementary children attend Cedar Ridge which provides exceptional learning opportunities. The neighborhood is only 1.5 miles from Woodland Hills Mall and some of the most popular restaurants in Tulsa. Meadowbrook Country Club extends to the west of the neighborhood. To the east is the south campus of Tulsa Community College, and the new Southcrest Hospital is just to the south.  The South Towne Square Homeowners Association (STSHA) was incorporated in the state of Oklahoma in 1998 and is very active. The Association sponsors several neighborhood activities each year. Some of the events are listed below:
